I found the following lemonade cleanse (or master cleanse) recipe from the web. I took a glance, and I’m almost certain that this detox and weight loss detox cleanse diet won’t work. Why?

Here are the master cleanse ingredients: 

  • 2 Tablespoons lemon or limejuice (approximately 1/2 lemon)
  • 2 Tablespoons genuine maple syrup (Not maple flavored sugar syrup)
  • 1/10 Teaspoon cayenne pepper (red pepper)
  • 8 ounces water, room temperature

What are missing in this lemonade diet? Plenty.

Let me expand on this basic master cleanse ingredients first, and towards the end of this article, I’ll show you where to go for the complete formulation.  With it, you can turn the master cleanse recipe into a truly powerful detox and weight loss diet plan. Stay with me.

Very quickly here are what you should know about the ingredients for the lemonade diet:

 Use only….

  • Organic ingredients
  • Grade B maple syrup
  • Filtered water

The portion of the lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper can remain but I’d recommend 10 ounces of filtered water per serving. 

For this detox and weight loss diet to work, and to reap the full benefits of the lemonade cleanse diet, follow the following routine for 10 days.

To the best of my knowledge, 10 days is the optimal number of days to go on the lemonade detox diet for weight loss purpose. Don’t go beyond that unless you’re absolutely sure what you are doing.

Don’t be afraid to go under 10 days though. At any point of time, if you’re not comfortable to continue with this detox and weight loss diet plan, I’d recommend you to stop.

Here’s how your typical day will be like when on this lemonade diet.

  • Start your day with sea salt cleanse. Drinking 1 teaspoon of sea salt mixed with 35 ounces of filtered water to flush out your system.
  • Make yourself of lemonade drink based on the improved master cleanser recipe.
  • Consume between 60 to 120 ounces of lemonade.
  • Take plenty of water throughout the day.
  • End your day with another sea salt cleanse.

Get yourself mentally prepared a few days before going on the lemon cleanse diet. Personally I find it helpful to train the mind, and get myself prepared for master cleanse.

Relax, and visualize the new you at the end of the cleanse.  See the renewed and confident you once more.

I find strength in visualization. And I believe doing it while on the lemon cleanse diet helps to improve your chance of completing the cleanse.

Consider following this lemonade cleanse recommendation if you want to lose weight and detox at the same time.

Exercise and deep breathing.
Exercise is an important part of the detoxification process. Breathing deeply helps eliminate toxins from the cells, and since the lymphatic system is actually part of the immune system, it can also help enhance immunity.
